About Furness Rotary

Rotary was started in Barrow in 1932 with the Rotary Club of Barrow and the Rotary Club of Furness was formed in 1991.

The Rotary Club of Furness has been organising the Tour de Furness charity cycle event since 1995 and has seen the event grow bigger and better every year.

About Furness Rotary

We are a group of friends who meet each Wednesday evening at Barrow Golf Club, Rakesmoor Lane, Barrow in Furness.

Most weeks we have a guest speaker who might be representing a local charity or presenting some general information about something of interest.

We have also been known to convene in local hostelries, have a flutter at the races, or go to the theatre!

The reason the club exists is to give service where it’s needed, be it at home or abroad, and as you may gather we get a great deal of fun whilst doing it.

If you’re interested in finding out more, just let us have a few details about yourself and we’ll be in touch.
