Congratulations and thanks to everyone who took part in our Tackling Hunger event

on 22nd April 2018, hosted by King Henry VIII School, Coventry

 

Together, here’s what we achieved:

 

  • 50,112 meals packed for Rise Against Hunger

- Our meals are going to school children in Kibera, Kenya - check back in May for a link to track the consignment

  • £1,000 donation to the Trussell Trust 
  • 250 kilos of food donations to Trussell Trust for UK Food Banks

 

Over 300 volunteers of all ages from across the community came together, including:

  • Guides
  • Air cadets
  • Sea cadets
  • Community Groups
  • Business
  • Schools
  • Heart of England Rotary Clubs

 

4 schools supported the event with fundraising and volunteering:

  • King Henry VIII Coventry, senior and prep schools
  • Campion School, Leamington Spa
  • Kenilworth School
