Young Writer Competition

This easy to enter competition is ideal to encourage youngsters to take up the pen

Creative writing is a talent that, sadly, not all are blessed with, and to be able to write poetry is a special gift. In Great Britain and Ireland there are young people who have - or have the ability to develop - this talent and Rotary in these islands wishes to promote writing through the RIBI Young Writer competition

Starting with club level competitions, winners progress to district events and, ultimately, a national final, with the winning work subsequently published in Rotary magazines

The quality of work submitted in previous years has been outstanding and we expect no less going forward.

This competition is open to young people aged 17 or under on the 31st August

Full rules for the 2017/18 competition are available from the lnks below to promote the competition in schools. Please note that these rules apply to the regional and RIBI finals. District and local event rules may differ
