The Leamington and Warwick's first International project Is to support a charity called A girl A 'K A Year project. The Rotary Club is supporting this project with funds requested by our Rotaractors

The Leamington and Warwick Rotaract Club have forged links with the Rotaract Club of Nairobi to support this worthwhile project in Kenya

Every year many of the girls in villages across Kenya stay away from school during their menses. That can mean their education suffers every month year on year. This project provides sanitary towels and underwear to the girls so that they can attend school full time and improve their education

Together with our Rotaract Club we will sponsor a year’s supply to girls in the Brydges Children’s Centre in Kajiado County, Niarobi. The presentations to the girls will take place in August with Proctor and Gamble products

The Brydges Children’s Centre

The centre supports emotional and spiritual needs of orphaned, destitute, abandoned, abused and street children in Kenya Africa.

Brydges Centre's Mission Statement

"My prayer is that Brydges Centre continues to give all of our children a safe home, full of love and care. We also wish to give them social and emotional stability to enhance their growth and development, and give them all the support that they need through life.

Children in difficult situations should not be denied the opportunity for quality education. All of our children are in school - from nursery school to University - and I hope we will raise the children to be responsible and to make a difference in the community”
