Telford, next door to the magnificent Ironbridge Gorge, was a new venue for Conference and looked a bit like a warehouse from outside but the facilities inside were very good and spacious. Association President Gill was an inspiring person with a tremendous sense of humour and fun. We has some very interesting speakers from various charities and the world of entertainment. Tuesday evening with Judith Hibbert had us in fits of laughter followed by dancing in our usual manner. To celebrate our 90th birthday we had a 1920's themed Gala Dinner organised by our very own Barbara, ably assisted by Geoff. Everyone entered in the the spirit of the eveining - lots of feather boas and headbands, flapper girls, gentlemen in 1920's tuxedos and even a gangster! The night ended with dancing to a jazz band from a local school who had us jumping up and down, clapping and marching round the room. What a birthday party to remember!
