Chartered 1960

Meetings held on 1st Thursday at Nightingale Rooms, 116 Nettleham Road, Lincoln. LN2 1RR, 12 Noon for 12.30

We celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2010.  This was made extra special because one of our members, Sue Brewer, was District Chairman and Peter Manton, a Lincoln Rotarian, was District Governor. To mark the occasion we released 50 Inner Wheel balloons to carry our friendship far and wide.

Like all Inner Wheel Clubs throughout the world, we in Lincoln try to keep the three objectives always in our mind.  We also like to have a bit of fun on the way.  Have a look at our gallery of photos and you will get a flavour of what we get up to.

Over the years we have supported many charities, local, national and international.  These include Candles (a local cancer research charity), St Andrew's Children's Hospice, Lincolnshire/Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, Children with Leukaemia and SSAFA.  To mark our 50th Anniversary we planted bulbs in Whisby Nature Park under trees that had been planted by Rotary.  The bulbs were planted in the shape of a big I and W.

We provide refreshments at concerts given by Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Band either tea/coffee and soft drinks or mulled wine.  The proceeds of the Remembrance Day concert always got to the British Legion Poppy Appeal.  Proceeds from the other concerts are decided between us.

To raise funds for these worthwhile causes we have held Sunday Lunches, sausage and mash lunches, quizzes, Christmas concerts and taken part in Santa's Fun Run.

Lincoln is always pleased to welcome new members and visitors.  You can be sure that the welcome will be a very warm one.
